Brett Roubinek

President and CEO

Brett Roubinek joined TRC in 2016, bringing more than 25 years of experience in growing businesses and fostering innovation across the automotive ecosystem, including on-track proficiency as a professional racecar driver and instructor.  Initially responsible for overseeing research efforts and day-to-day operations across TRC Ohio’s 4,500-acre campus, he was named president and CEO in July 2017.  Under his leadership, TRC developed its innovative SmartCenter complex for testing and development of advanced vehicle technologies and assumed management of the 225-acre TRC California proving ground.  Prior to joining TRC, Brett served as senior director of strategy and consultancy for a global motorsports marketing agency; vice president of sales and marketing for the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course; vice president of marketing and chief operating officer of iRacing.com; and managing director of the Skip Barber Racing School – among other industry roles.  Brett currently serves on the board of IMPACT 60, a local community-support organization, and as chairman of the DriveOhio Expert Advisory Board.  Among his honors and awards, Brett has been recognized by Smart Business Magazine as an Ohio Smart 50 Awards honoree, an award celebrating top executives from Central Ohio’s 50 smartest companies for their ability to effectively build and lead successful organizations.  He holds a BA in Economics from Denison University.
