Job Description

Electronics technician with background in testing and analyzing electronic circuits. Demonstrated knowledge and history using typical electronic lab tools such as the following, Oscilloscope, Multimeter, and Power Supplies. Vehicle level experience in testing and troubleshooting electronics is highly desirable. Radio Frequency experience on a vehicle or vehicle electrical component level is highly desirable. General fabrication, circuit building and familiarity with vehicle component level EMC testing is desirable

Essential Functions*

  • Perform instrumentation services such as installing and setup of equipment, diagnostics, and repair
  • Prep for Test set-up and performance
  • Record and report activities accurately
  • Basic Fabrication skills
  • Calibration capabilities
  • Troubleshooting capabilities
  • Preferred experience with Vbox, Somat, load cells,  and strain gauging.

Other Duties and Responsibilities (Non-Essential Functions)

  • Prepare test vehicles and support equipment
  • Follow safety procedures which includes wearing protective equipment such as safety glasses and steel-toed shoes
  • Assists in the planning of projects and follows budget requirements
  • Support TRC Inc.’s Quality and EH&S (Environmental, Health, and Safety) efforts


  • Associates degree in electronics is preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Knowledge of electrical, electronic and/or mechanical components or equipment
  • Proficient in the use of instrumentation or electronic tools and equipment
  • Leadership skills
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Excellent computer skills

Working conditions

Physical requirements

  • Ability to move objects up to 50 pounds
  • Capable of positioning one’s self into bending, stretching, climbing, or awkward positions
