Corrosion & Stone Chipping Facility

Transportation Research Center's Corrosion Chipping Facility consists of parallel 20-foot x 990-foot lanes.   One lane consists of both high and low spray saline solution, 5% by volume.  The other lane provides a course that allows customers to distribute any specification of grit in a controlled manner to allow stone chipping of test vehicles.
