To provide expert repair, diagnostics, measurements, and preparation of customer and TRC vehicles, as well as maintain a professional appearance and customer-focused attitude. This position is for 1st shift which runs from 11:30 p.m. – 8:00 a.m. on Sunday – Thursday.


Essential Functions*

  • Perform mechanical services such as general maintenance, diagnostics, repair, inspections, and measurements
  • Record and report activities, equipment, and supply usage accurately
  • Communicate problems quickly and accurately
  • Coordinate and schedule vehicle maintenance

Other Duties and Responsibilities (Non-Essential Functions)

  • Follow safety procedures; wear protective equipment including safety glasses and steel-toed shoes
  • Maintain shop equipment and cleanliness
  • Produce accurate project and task reports
  • Produce test results and documentation
  • Follow standard work methods on assignments but receives specific instructions on unfamiliar assignments
  • Support TRC Inc.’s Quality and EH&S (Environmental, Health, and Safety) efforts



  • High school diploma is required
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle systems
  • Basic knowledge of safe and proper tool and equipment use
  • Familiarity with automotive diagnostic systems and processes
  • Proficient in the proper use of automotive tools and equipment
  • Strong communication skills


Working conditions

  • May be exposed to temperatures under 0 degrees and above 95 degrees
  • May be exposed to inclement weather
  • May be exposed to hazardous chemicals, such as gas, oil, and paint


Physical requirements

  • Ability to move objects up to 50 pounds
  • Capable of positioning one’s self into bending, stretching, climbing, or awkward positions
  • Ability to enter work times into a computer
