TRC at the North American International Auto Show’s AutoMobili-D

Representatives from the Transportation Research Center (TRC) and PMG Technologies will host a symposium entitled, The Regulatory and Market Requirements Maze: What Manufacturers need to know to get to market faster in North America on Wednesday, Jan. 11 at 2 p.m. on the Atrium stage, and Thursday, Jan. 12 at 1 p.m. on the Planet M stage, as part of the AutoMobili-D exhibit at the 2017 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit.

There will be a panel discussion about the complex regulations and market requirements relative to autonomous vehicles and technology OEMs need to follow to sell in the U.S. and Canada.

TRC Inc. Participates in COSI Mythbusters Science Day

Transportation Research Center Inc. (TRC Inc.) participated in the COSI Mythbusters Science Day on June 29, 2013. The event focused on the “science behind mythbusting,” or how does the Mythbusters show design, build, and test all the crazy things they use to actually prove or disprove the myths? Car and driving myths, as well as the use of crash dummies, are frequently featured on Mythbusters, which was a perfect connection for TRC Inc.’s Jeff Sankey, Manager of the Impact Laboratory Operations.

Automotive Testing Expo North America 2012

2012 Ohio Green Fleets Showcase & Technology Expo

Transportation Research Center Inc. attended the 2012 Ohio Green Fleets Showcase and annual Awards Luncheon and Technology Expo, which was held on September 12, 2012 at The River Club at Confluence Park, in Columbus, Ohio. The event’s activities highlighted the creative strategies that certified fleets have used to improve vehicle fuel efficiency and environmental performance.

SAE World Congress 2012

The SAE World Congress 2012 took place on April 24-26, 2012 in Detroit, Michigan. This year’s theme was “Get Connected”, which highlighted the new and diverse connections that will drive significant advancements in the auto industry of tomorrow. Not only did the theme symbolize literal connections ,such as those between vehicles, infrastructure, the Internet, and the nation’s electrical grid, but it also demonstrated the most fundamental of connections; the connections and relationships between engineers who are developing the next generation vehicle technology.

Government & Industry Meeting

SAE All-Wheel Drive Symposium

The SAE 2011 All-Wheel Drive Symposium was held October 4-6, 2011 in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. This event provided passenger car and light truck designers, engineers, and managers with the opportunity to learn from key automobile industry experts regarding the latest technologies and advances in current and future all-wheel drive systems, and their integration into passenger vehicles, as well as potential design approaches.
