Transportation Research Center Inc. (TRC Inc.) supports the community in which its employees live and work.

TRC Inc. supports many public programs such as the United Way, Adopt-A-Highway, The Arthritis Foundation, YMCA, and many other community activities.  In addition to these activities, TRC Inc. has initiated volunteer programs to better serve the local community.  If you would like to find out more about these programs, please contact Kelli Simon at (937) 666-2011, extension 309, or by e-mail at simonk@trcpg.com.
 
  • Child Restraint Awareness Program

Transportation Research Center Inc. (TRC Inc.) has over twenty years of experience in crash testing. We know the safest ways to travel in a vehicle. Through the "Trained & Restrained" program, TRC Inc. helps educate and assist parents by providing child car seats at a reduced price to families living in the community. We do this in conjunction with local health care agencies who handle the distribution of the seats and provide instruction to the parents on the proper installation and use.

  • "Volunteers in Partnership" Program

Transportation Research Center Inc.'s (TRC Inc.) "Volunteers in Partnership" program is designed to support charitable organizations to which TRC Inc. employees volunteer their time. Hours volunteered result in cash contributions to eligible organizations

  • TRC Inc.'s Seat Belt Safety Awareness - Poster Contest

Transportation Research Center Inc. (TRC Inc.) promotes seatbelt safety awareness through cooperative education at the elementary level. Children are educated about the proper use of seatbelt systems through safety presentations with guest appearances from the crash test dummies, Vince & Larry. In conjunction with this program, TRC Inc. sponsors an annual seatbelt safety poster contest for third graders from local schools.

  • Recycling Program

Transportation Research Center Inc. (TRC Inc.) is committed to saving our environment. In accordance with TRC Inc.'s environmental policy, we recycle paper, aluminum cans, scrap metals and other products utilized throughout TRC Inc.

  • "Partnership in Technologies" Scholarship Program

Two $1,000 renewable scholarships are available to students in Logan and Union Counties planning to enter a two- or four-year program specializing in automotive engineering or other automotive-related field. The award will be based upon academic record and participation in school activities. An essay is required stating why this student is interested in pursuing a career in the automotive industry.

Children of Transportation Research Center Inc. (TRC Inc.) employees who reside outside of Logan or Union counties are also eligible for the scholarship.

Renewable scholarships of $1,000 are available for up to three years providing student stays enrolled in an automotive-based program and maintains a GPA above 3.0.  Report card and proof of enrollment is required yearly for renewal.

Students receiving the "Excellence in Automotive Engineering Scholarship" have the opportunity to participate in a paid internship or co-op program at TRC Inc.
